I will make this short - below is a followup video - from the Oprah Show - it is only 11 mins 32 seconds long. You owe it to yourself to watch to completion - This is the most inspiring video I have ever seen.
Randy Pausch reprising his inspirational “Last Lecture” on the Oprah Show (Oct 22, 2007).
Here is a YouTube video thats going a bit VIRAL at the moment - A video with a very moving message. It is only at the very end that you discover it is an commercial for Thai Life Insurance.
It almost made me want to BUY - plus there are some valuable life lessons here also
Another plug for a good friend of mine. This time, Matthew Glover who as well as being Managing Director of a Leading UK Conservatory Supplier, is also Head of Fundraising for a wonderful charity called Heal.
Matthew is looking for 50 recruits for a charity bike ride through Andhra Pradesh in India. If you are up for a challenge please listen to his video or visit their website Heal.co.uk
A tall order to say the least, so even if you cannot get involved yourself, please consider sponsoring or passing the video on to someone who may be interested in making this trip. The trip of a lifetime - No doubt! - and all for a very good cause.
Well Done Matthew, this will be one awesome trip, no question - and good luck to all of you. Count me in as a sponsor
Unless you have been on some remote island for the last couple of years, it will have been impossible to have escaped the increasing use of video online.
Of course YouTube is perhaps the biggest example of this but for me personally what has most impressed me over the last 12 months or so, has been the ever increasing numbers of private individuals and business people (Not TV or Movie Stars) who have been featuring in their own online movies / videos - and in many cases, doing just as good a job as many of the “Personalities” that it would take $10000’s to employ.
Entrepreneurs are individuals who in my experience are always going around with their eyes and minds wide open to the endless possibilities that are available to all, but only taken advantage of by a few.
The story of WillitBlend.com is a classic example of one individual seeing “something” that nobody else did. Between 1st Nov and 15th Dec this site logged something like 8.4 million views on the site and YouTube!
Of course it is also one of those ideas that I bet lots of people are now thinking: Why Did I Not Think Of That?
For more on this story and even more ideas of how perhaps you could make more use of Video on the web see this article: Blending video and e-commerce
I am finding video is an increasingly effective way to communicate a products benefits - surfers like video. It may not be the best method in terms of SEO, but if you have plenty of other on page factors working for you with regards to SEO, then Video is a nice additional tool to use.
Here is a video - that has almost taken over from the more traditional gallery - see the webpage at:
